Mayson colt who was foaled on May 6. He is a half-brother to 6f winner Cale Lane and his dam was a half-sister to the very useful 7f winner Garswood. Keep an eye out for any market confidence on debut run.

Dandy Man colt who was foaled on March 21. He cost £39,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to Tallinski who won over 5f and Rock of Estona who was successful at 7f. Dam won over 5f. Interesting newcomer.

Fast Company colt who only had one horse behind him in an 11 runner field at Catterick (5f) on his debut. He ran green on his opening run and was never in the race. Should be better this time but others are more appealing.

Elzaam colt. Showed some promise on his debut at Redcar (6f) where he was third of 13, beaten by just 1½l when going off at 11/2. Likely to build on his opening run so he is the one to beat here with the experience behind him.

4/1
Distorted Humor colt who was foaled on February 20. Cost €54,000 as a two-year-old. His dam was lightly-raced in the US and a half-sister to Gomo who was successful at 1m. One to watch on debut.

Forecasts

Saint Of Katowice (2/1), Ainsdale (2/1), Baltic State (7/2), Volatile Analyst (4/1), Packet Racket (100/1)

Verdict

SAINT OF KATOWICE has an advantage over many of these given he has the experience of a run. It was a really promising appearance from the colt at Redcar where he was third on debut and on the basis of that form, he is the one they have to beat here. Baltic State and Ainsdale both look interesting newcomers, especially the former who is bred to suggest it may not take him long to have success over this distance.
  1. Saint Of Katowice
  2. Baltic State
  3. Ainsdale
