Poor completion rate since joining his current yard and not even a receding handicap mark is enough to tempt a recommendation as one that is capable of giving weight away all round on recent evidence.
Gets on well with today's rider and has generally been in good form since joining his current yard. Possible there's still room to move upwards from his current mark. Well worth considering.
Recent form has been lacklustre but it's at least being reflected by a plummeting handicap mark. Plenty to prove in his bid to stop the rot and not shown a lot since returning from wind surgery.
Ran well at Cartmel last month and not much to find from a 3lb higher mark in a modest race like this. Still open to improvement over hurdles and now seems to be going the right way; albeit at a modest level.
Won at Newton Abbot last September but held twice since. Might just have needed the run last time but was still ahead of Ballyfarsoon at the line. Should get the solid pace he needs and not much to find from just 4lb above his last winning mark.

Jimmy Rabbitte (4/6), Native Fighter (3/1), Compatriot (9/2), Ballyfarsoon (11/2), Horst (16/1), Will O'The West (22/1)
A competitive finale can go the way of JIMMY RABBITTE who gets on well with today's rider and is on a potentially lenient mark just now. Compatriot was just ahead of Ballyfarsoon when they met here last time out and looks the main danger on these terms. Native Fighter is suggested as next best.
