Won here over an extended 2m1f in March and back on the same mark after a fruitless spell since. Unseated his rider when actually clear of his field at Worcester in May and slipped on landing near the finish last time. Is due luck on his side now.

It has to be said that NIKKI STEEL was unlucky in both his last two starts and it would be dangerous to rule him out without further scrutiny than face value of events. He's due a change of fortune and might well be up to the task of giving weight to lesser rated rivals. Overtoujay likes this course and is respected as a live danger, while West Wizard has a C&D win to his name and can also play a part if he's in one of his more enthusiastic moods. Agentleman has also shown a liking for this course and could nick a place in the frame if the return to this flat track can assist his stamina in holding out.
