This Tramore specialist has reached the veteran stages of his career. May find one or two too hot here and below form at his favourite venue last time out.
Just one win from 30 starts and that came over hurdles. A fair effort when third of nine here last time out and the drop back in trip could suit; not one to put a line through.
Possibly found 2m a bit sharp last time out. Has decent form prior to that. Normally jumps well. Unseated rider on penultimate start after colliding when poised to challenge. Chance.
No win from nine starts over fences. Has not translated his consistent hurdle form to the larger obstacles.
Two decent runs here over course and distance, finishing third on both occasions. Still a maiden over fences but knocking on the door.
Winner of this last year, now fourteen pounds higher. A winner over course and distance in April and a head behind Carlitos Bay here last time out. Obvious chance despite rise in ratings.
Maiden over fences, has shown temperament. Refused at the last here in March. Well beaten on both runs here in April and June.
Second behind Tiantu at Tramore then sixth over 3m1f here last time out. Others preferred. Jockey booking a positive, though.
Yet to win in Ireland. On a long losing run and very hard to make a case for on all known form.
Point winner but little shown over fences in the last few starts. Makes his handicap debut here.
Didn't show much over hurdles and nothing so far over fences. Handicap debut today.
Forecasts
Theatre Run (9/2), Arch Melody (6/1), Double Windsor (6/1), Tiantu (6/1), Little Haarth (7/1), Thats Mypresenting (7/1), Carlitos Bay (8/1), Runyon Rattler (10/1), Attalco (14/1), Swarez (16/1), Sanibel Island (20/1)
DOUBLE WINDSOR could well take this race for the second year running. Has taken a hike in the weights since then but is still fancied here. Little Hearth is the next best with encouraging signs over course and distance the last twice. The jockey claims a useful 5lb. Tiantu will be more at home over this trip than the two miles of his last run at Punchestown and is a consistent performer.
- Double Windsor
- Little Haarth
- Tiantu
