Some ability shown in point to-points. Makes rules debut here. Dam an unnamed half sister to two winners and is the granddaughter of Galway Plate winner Boro Quarter.
Yet to show much both in point-to-points and under rules. Half brother to a two mile chase winner.
Smart trainer, smart jockey. Out of a King''s Theatre mare. Wears a tongue tie and didn't go on when asked over two miles at Tramore. New trip today. From the family of Hill Society.
Eight years of age and a maiden on the Flat and AW. Ex Godolphin, has been off the track for nearly a year for current connections. Probably best to watch at this stage.
Sent off favourite at Downpatrick last time out, beaten twelve lengths into second. Is starting to look disappointing but impossible to put a line through; even if he is one of the yards lesser lights.
Gold Well gelding. No impression over two miles at Clonmel last time out. Hinted at ability in point-to-points when second at Monksgrange in April.
First run for new yard. Ran well on final start in England at Uttoxeter over 3m2f. Interesting to see how he fares here. Sold to new yard at Doncaster May sales for £24,000.
Can be very keen. Point-to-point winner who has shown ability over hurdles. Not one to lose faith in just yet. Half sister to a winner. Dam a half sister to Madam Bovary.
Set for her second start under rules. Was tailed off at this venue last time out. Hard to make a case for her at the moment. Didn't complete in all four point-to-point starts. Half sister to Full Irish.
Six year old Getaway mare. Will receive a handicap mark after today. Hasn't shown much so far. Probably best watched. Half sister to three winners.
Forecasts
Poker D'Ainay (5/4), Stylish Moment (9/4), Inishbel (5/1), Guttural (7/1), Elegant Dan (16/1), Spring Well (25/1), Boro Melody (25/1), Never Walk Alone (50/1), Nabeel (66/1), Kananaskis (100/1)
Rather a weak contest overall but connections have found a weak enough contest to try again with GUTTURAL. He's obviously a bit of a character but is in the right hands. You can't rule Poker D'ainy out but one must be wary of backing him at this stage in his career. The interesting runner is Stylish Moment who has his first run for a new yard in Ireland, ran consistently well when trained in England.
- Guttural
- Stylish Moment
- Poker D'Ainay
