Showcasing colt who got off the mark by a nose on his debut in 6f Kempton maiden last month. Will appreciate the drop in trip and has an ideal draw, but the form of that race hasn't been tested yet and may be vulnerable to more experienced rivals.

Was outclassed in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f, soft) but got back on track with a narrow win at Musselburgh (5f, good to firm) on Wednesday. This is a harder contest and others make more appeal.

Improving with every run and got off the mark at the third attempt with narrow win in Wolverhampton novice race (5f, standard) last month. That form doesn't look to be the strongest but is entitled to improve for powerful connections.

Regressed from weak maiden victory when third of five at Beverley (5f, good) in early June. Merit of that form is up for discussion too and looks to be needing a step up in trip. Place claims at best.

Gritty win on debut before a never nearer ninth in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f, soft). Dropped markedly in grade for this and is a contender for a top yard in form (28% strike rate).

Bolted up on second start at Hamilton and attempted to make when not beaten far in 11th in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot (6f, good). Step back in trip a plus and likely to be hard to peg back if given a soft lead. Interesting contender.

Form of maiden win hasn't worked out well and was a never-threatening tenth in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f, good). Needs to find more to be in contention.

Made drastic improvement from his maiden start to bolt up by 9l over C&D in three-runner novice contest when last seen. Form of that is working out well with the third coming out and winning since. Dangerous to dismiss.

Just denied on debut at Nottingham and looked more professional when a good fifth in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f, good to soft) on her latest start. Will appreciate this type of company and has a speedy pedigree. Worth a market check.

Precocious filly who won her two starts before a great run in the Queen Mary Stakes (5f, good to soft) despite being drawn on the wrong side of the track. Won her group's 'race' in that race and gets 3lb from most her rivals today. The one to beat.

Forecasts

Liberty Beach (9/4), Al Raya (4/1), Expressionist (9/2), Makyon (9/2), Rayong (7/1), Dream Shot (12/1), Bill Neigh (20/1), Dazzling Des (25/1), Wentworth Amigo (33/1), Aussie Showstopper (40/1)

Verdict

Various Royal Ascot form lines are set to be tested in a hot renewal of this race, but on the back of her excellent run at Royal Ascot alongside her fillies allowance LIBERTY BEACH is the one to beat and is a likely group performer in waiting. Makyon ran with great credit in the Coventry Stakes and is set play a starring role at the finish, especially if grabbing the lead over this shorter trip, while Expressionist and Al Raya are entitled to improve from their efforts at the Royal meeting in this contest.
  1. Liberty Beach
  2. Makyon
  3. Expressionist
