Placed efforts in the spring at Ayr/Punchestown over fences suggested that he was over the struggles that he had last winter although he disappointed when pulled-up last time (lost a shoe). Off a much lower hurdles mark here, needs consideration.
In good form last year recording three chase wins before pulling up when last seen (final start for Fergal O'Brien). Now returns making his stable debut back over hurdles off a lower mark, probably best watched for now.
Has been rejuvenated over fences of late gaining wins at Southwell (well supported) and Cartmel in very easy fashion. Just as effective over hurdles off a mark that he's more than capable of winning off; just 1lb higher than last chase win.
Goes for a hat-trick having twice been successful over 3m at Southwell of late defying a 6lb higher mark last time. Up a further 3lb this time around (had a little in hand last time); likely to give it a good shot to complete the three-timer.
Tried back over hurdles after a couple of very insipid efforts coming back from a break over fences. Has won over hurdles but not in handicap company; slips below her last winning chase mark but does arrive here with risks attached.
Gained some reward for some consistent hurdles efforts when taking a Plumpton amateur riders' event in November over 2m4f. Has never really built on that victory with all his efforts since looking rather laboured.
Two previous runner-up spots paved the way for his success last time out at Fakenham (lady amateur riders' handicap) with events clearly going his way for once. Likely to continue in form but this is a tougher assignment for him.

Forecasts
The Jam Man (8/13), The Drone (7/2), Sizing Granite (8/1), Cottonvale (10/1), Sporting Boy (10/1), Aunty Ann (25/1), Mighty Leader (40/1), Winter Spice (40/1)
Three last time out winners clash in this with one of them Cottonvale having a more difficult task to follow up against the other two that form that trio who both look on the up in THE JAM MAN and The Drone. The former has won his last two chase starts easily and although this looks a stronger contest he’s still well weighted and has won off similar marks over hurdles in the past and he’s taken to complete a hat-trick. That that’s the same prize that The Drone is chasing and he should make life difficult for the selection having won with a little in hand last time. Sporting Boy may enjoy this return to hurdles with Sizing Granite also in the mix off a lenient hurdles mark.
