Narrowly denied over 2m at Kelso in January before poor run at Newcastle and moderate effort on Flat last time. Yard has cracking 32% strike rate here over hurdles so respected back up in trip.

Landed first hurdles win at Clonmel in May bur had to settle for second when well punted in Uttoxeter 2m selling hurdle last time under champion jockey. Beaten a neck over C&D nearly two years ago so should stay.

Star conditional has first ride for this stable aboard horse who won over C&D in April off 8lb lower mark. Failed by only a length to win at Aintree last time and rates a major contender.

Been a good servant over the years but is on a long losing run stretching back to November 2015. Last of six but only beaten four lengths at Aintree last time and now 3lb lower under capable rider.

Stable companion of Prince Charmin' and hard to know which is the first string. Five-time winner whose last success came at Musselburgh in January 2018. Has run some fair races since but doesn't look obviously well handicapped.

Desert Island Dusk54
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-4| J: Dale Irving(3)| T: M A Barnes| OR:  112| D

Runner-up in three of his last five starts, including a short-head defeat at Musselburgh in March. Eased 1lb since 15-length second at Hexham last time out and may not be far away once again.

Won point-to-point for Dan Skelton in April then proved revelation when bolting up by 10 lengths over C&D on debut for current yard 12 days ago. Hefty 15lb rise makes life much tougher but should go well in bid to follow up.

Prince Khurram337

Seeking a 10th career success as he returns from 11-month absence. Is 2-3 at this track over two miles but has won at close to this trip elsewhere. Yard in good form so is interesting if fit and ready to roll.

Green Zone12

4/1
Five-time C&D winner who has won 11 in all and is a credit to connections. made favourite but possibly caught a tartar when 10-length second to Amalfi Doug here last time and is now 7lb better off with that rival.

Forecasts

Amalfi Doug (2/1), Green Zone (4/1), Stop Talking (4/1), Spectator (11/2), Sky Khan (10/1), Ballycrystal Court (10/1), Prince Charmin' (20/1), Desert Island Dusk (20/1), Skeaping (20/1), Prince Khurram (33/1)

Verdict

Amalfi Doug was given a canny ride last time and may have been given too much rope, so on 7lb better terms the runner-up GREEN ZONE is fancied to take his revenge and record a sixth C&D victory. Prince Khurram has been off the track for some time but has a good record here and represents a stable in form, while Stop Talking has every chance under her fine young rider. Skeaping and Prince Charmin' look best of the rest although nearly all can be given some sort of a chance in a tricky finale.
