Won Hexham maiden hunter chase at Hexham in May 2018 for Chris Pimlott but disappointed on handicap bow for current yard at Stratford a couple of weeks ago. More needed but better ground may help the cause.
Won Kelso staying handicap hurdle last October and has run well both starts since returning from 200-day break. Scored in good style at Hexham recently, making all to win by 18 lengths. Carries 7lb penalty and should go well again.
15-race maiden having just her second start over fences having looked nothing special on first attempt. Stamina could be an issue so others are readily preferred.
Only win in 30 starts came here one year ago in 3m novice hurdle off 4lb higher mark. Patchy form of late but return to this track may help revive her fortunes and she is not without a chance.
Won at Carlisle in April then at this track over 2m4f in May off 4lb lower mark. Fair effort when third at Hexham last time over two miles but hasn't stayed this trip in the past and hard to see that changing.
First-time visor applied after long sequence of poor efforts over a variety of trip. Dropped 7lb since latest tailed off effort at Hexham and is impossible to recommend.
Better known as a hurdler and has run only twice over fences, disappojnting each time when solidly supported. Has something to prove in this sphere but 7lb drop since last run is a step in the right direction.
24-race maiden but looked a likley winner here approaching 2 out last time only to be hampered by a loose horse in dramatic novice chase. Rallied but couldn't get back up and that might have been his best chance thwarted.
Beaten a long way in his last two starts and set to run here from 2lb wrong at the weights. Still without a win in 18 attempts to date.
8lb out of the handicap and remains without a win in 37 attempts. Hard to see his luck changing this late in the day now he is well into the veteran stage.
Tough task from 9lb out of the handicap and is still a maiden after 37 attempts. Didn't run badly for a long way here last time but on balance others make far more appeal.
Forecasts
Chanceiton (9/4), Spinning Scooter (13/5), Roll Of Thunder (9/1), Donnas Dream (10/1), Streets Of Milan (11/1), Highland Peak (11/1), Maureen's Star (11/1), Court Baloo (20/1), Call Me (25/1), Jackofhearts (40/1), Top Cat Dj (66/1)
If CHANCEITON is fully recovered from his runaway recent win at Hexham he could take some beating under his penalty in a race where the majoirty of his rivals are badly out of form. Irish raider Maureen's Star is not out of it on the pick of her form and any market move in her direction would be worth noting, while Streets Of Milan is less exposed than many here and has a chance on last season's form. Spinning Scooter looked unlucky here last time in a chaotic four-runner affair and may get involved again, while a slow pace would give Roll Of Thunder a chance of seeing out the trip.
- Chanceiton
- Streets Of Milan
- Maureen's Star
