Only win from 14 attempts came over C&D under today's jockey last September off 6lb lower mark. 4th over hurdles at Ballinrobe on seasonal return and unseated rider early over fences at Downpatrick last month. Chance if picking his hooves up.
Six-time winner but not since November 2017. Has been placed eight times in last 11 starts and handicapper has been slow to cut him some slack but now eased 3lb. Yard has 27% strike rate here so every chance he'll be on the premises.
Won a 2m Warwick handicap chase off 113 in April. Scored again on debut for current yard in 2m hurdle here in June but ran poorly on return visit last time and steps back up in trip and over fences now. Stays but is no model of consistency.
Good form of late winning over 2m5f at Fontwell in May and again here over 2m last time, wearing first time tongue-tie. Raised 4lb but this veteran is in fine heart at present and another big effort looks on the cards.
4-12 over fences, two of those wins coming here over minimum trip. Landed Ayr 2m4f contest off 9lb lower mark on penultimate start and runner-up to Witness In Court here back at 2m last time. 4lb better off now and enters calculations.
Has won 2-4 at this venue, both at this trip. Failed by just a head to win again over C&D off 1lb lower mark in April and has been given a break since pulling up at Market Rasen in May. Looks sure to run another big race at his favourite track.
Forecasts
Witness In Court (13/5), Creadan Grae (11/4), Welcome Ben (7/2), Boy's On Tour (5/1), Salto Chisco (8/1), Ardera Cross (14/1)
Getting weights from all his rivals BOY'S ON TOUR is fancied to make it 3-5 at this track for his popular locally-based handler. There shouldn't be much again between Witness In Court (representing last year's winning yard) and Welcome Ben on recent course form, while Salto Chisco makes the long journey north and his trainer has done well enough with his few runners here. In a very trappy affair it's hard to rule out either of the other two.
- Boy's On Tour
- Salto Chisco
- Welcome Ben
