Gained a belated first turf win at Newmarket (5f) a week ago by ½L from subsequent winner Nibras Again. Bit more required under a penalty, but merits respect with that form working out.
AW winner last spring, and returned with a respectable fourth at Bath (5½f, firm) in May. Off another seven weeks since that run, which is a slight concern, and needs to step up to figure.
Better for return/stable debut when winning at Bath (5½f, good to firm) in May, and better still when ½L third at Goodwood next time. Needs to bounce back from a poor effort at Windsor on latest start, though.
Only success came on firm ground at Bath as a juvenile. Fair effort at Sandown in April the only bright spot this year, and other efforts leave her with plenty to find.
Been struggling for form for a while, but better signs when 3¼L third of 8 to Texting at Yarmouth last time. Needs to prove she can build on that, and needs to if she's to take a hand.
Drew a blank last season and handicap mark has plunged accordingly. Produced her best effort this season when 1L second of 15 to Big Lachie at Bath last time, and remains on the same mark, so can't be ignored.
Six-time Flat turf winner, but like many from her stable, she is struggling for form this season, and opposable for all she took a small step forward last time.
Several good efforts in defeat last year, but yet to win on turf, and not much to take from a poor effort in a seller at Lingfield (5f, AW) last month. May have needed that run, but others more convincing.
Now 4lb lower than when winning at Goodwood last year, despite being out of the weights here. Yet to fire this season, and while she took a small step in the right direction at Brighton last time, she needs a full-scale revival now.
Forecasts
Jack The Truth (11/8), Devils Roc (9/2), Kath's Lustre (7/1), Cookupastorm (15/2), Edged Out (8/1), Mawde (12/1), Firenze Rosa (16/1), Flowing Clarets (20/1), Staffa (33/1)
Not the most appealing contest as a betting medium, with few bringing really solid credentials, so it appears that JACK THE TRUTH has it to lose after getting his head in front at Newmarket. Edged Out is in the veteran stage, but went very close off the same mark at Bath last time, so needs to be taken seriously, while Devils Roc would have decent claims if a poor run at Windsor last time was forgiven.
