0-8 so far but has run some good races in defeat and sets the standard to aim for here. This will be his first try on ground as quick as this but he's otherwise got a solid enough profile to give him leading claims at this level.
€75,000 yearling who showed a good deal of improvement from his debut run when he finished second to a horse of good potential last time out. More now needed but he's going the right way and is worth a betting check in a small field like this.
A Dubawi colt that is out of 2013 Cesarewitch winner,Scatter Dice, he's been well held in both previous starts and already looks in need of stronger test of stamina. The headgear might help but this trip is probably the bare minimum for him.
Lots to like about the filly's pedigree and she's also shown definite signs of ability in both previous starts. The sex allowance is a handy tool for races of this nature and no surprise to see her now deliver after being well supported last time.
Forecasts
Clarion (8/11), Meqdam (10/3), Damon Runyon (7/2), Medal Winner (10/1)
CLARION is a sporting suggestion to overturn the more exposed Damon Runyon in what might boil down to match between the pair. The fillies sex allowance can come into play and, given the impressive 26% current strike-rate of her trainer, Clarion looks the better bet of the two at this stage. Medal Winner is probably better suited to this trip than Meqdam and he's nominated as the best option for a surprise result.
- Clarion
- Damon Runyon
- Medal Winner
