First-time cheekpieces applied following two poor runs on turf this season. Has won twice on AW at Chelmsford so return to artifical surface is a positive.
Ran fair race on only previous visit here and won over a mile on AW at Lingfield in 2017. Placed twice over 1m2f in April for previous handler and makes debut for good yard in fine form so is interesting.
Ex-Irish dual Killarney mile winner who showed promise on first two starts for current yard before struggling when favourite dropped to 7f last time. First time tongue-tie may help and back at a mile she has a squeak.
Last two wins have come over C&D and has run with credit in three turf starts since. Back here and with top amateur on board he should go very well in his bid for a third course win.
Five-time winner, including C&D, who failed to progress last term for Alistair Ralph. Debut for new yard under jockey who has yet to ride a winner under Rules. Fairly handicapped if able to reproduce best of old form.
Eight wins to date include two at this venue, but hasn't shone on last three starts, including over C&D last time. 1lb lower but much more needed to figure.
Stable companion of Allux Boy. Only win came in Catterick maiden over three years ago. On a very long losing run and dwelt last time on first start of the term. Open to a little improvement from that run but hard to get excited about.
Ignore latest run as hood was removed late and he never had a hope. Three career runs have come at no further than 7f and not for certain he will see out the extended mile.
14-race maiden whose best efforts have come on turf in testing ground, including when close second on heavy at Haydock penultimate start. Seems less effective on this surface so others are preferred.
7-48 on AW. Not disgraced after two months off when unplaced last time at Lingfield. Won over C&D in January off 47 but not out of it here under capable rider off 5lb higher mark.
Broke frustrating losing run when scoring last time out at Lingfield following 59-day break. 3lb higher and partnered by jockey yet to ride a winner under Rules, but remains well handicapped on form of previous seasons.
Just 2-40 wins to date but latest came over C&D in January off just 1lb lower mark. Appeared not to stay 1m4f last time but ran creditably previous start and is one of the likelier outsiders.
All four career wins have come at Newcastle and appears less effective elsewhere. Has run poorly on all six starts since joining current yard and hard to see him getting involved on that basis.
Forecasts
Allux Boy (6/4), Luna Magic (7/2), Pike Corner Cross (6/1), Diamond Reflection (12/1), Rosin Box (14/1), Snooker Jim (14/1), Limerick Lord (16/1), Irish Times (25/1), Dutch Artist (28/1), Mime Dance (28/1), Showdance Kid (33/1), Misu Pete (33/1), Rock Warbler (40/1)
ALLUX BOY has a hugley experienced rider on board and that might just make the difference. He goes well here and has been in decent nick on turf of late. Main danger could be recent Lingfield scorer Mime Dancer who remains nicely handicapped on the pick of his form over the last 12 months. Luna Magic is interesting on debut for a good yard, Limerick Lord has a decent rider on board, and, if he stays, Showdance Kid is not out of it.
- Allux Boy
- Limerick Lord
- Mime Dance
