Won over an extended mile at Carlisle last month and also ran well back in Ireland from a 9lb higher mark just over a fortnight ago. Needs to prove his stamina but respected as a long distance traveller for the meger prize-money available.

Best form has been on the AW so far and has a bit to find after being brushed aside in modest company back on turf last time.

Solid effort when tried over 1m2f at Nottingham when last seen (in April) but previous form is a mixed bag and his solitary win was gained over 7f; up 3lb since his last run so career best needed.

Been well beaten in all four previous starts and even the 3lb drop in the ratings from last isn't enough to inspire much confidence about the gelding getting off the mark this time.

Previous form makes for uninspiring reading and dangerous to read too much into an improved finishing position last time out; the filly was still well beaten and only found the one pace close home.

has experience of this course but has never been a factor in any of her three races up to now; possible she can improve now she goes handicapping and is on a very lenient mark. Big improvement required.

Another whose form has been poor so far. Well beaten in both previous starts in handicaps and little to recommend the filly as one to follow despite her representing a high profile stable.

Closely matched with Mi Manchi on their encounter at Yarmouth earlier this month but has a bit to find with that rival alone; more needed here.

Handicap form has been regressive and the gelding has little in his favour given that he comes into this on the back of two mediocre performance; others readily preferred.

Yet to start a race at odd below 100/1 and not hard to see why when the form is scrutinised. He's be a very surprising winner.

Reasonable effort over C&D latest gives the filly stronger claims than a few of the others. Runs from the same mark today but her heart for a battle remains suspect though, so she's not one for maximum faith.

Wears a visor for the first time and stamina has never been tested over this trip before now; never yet delivered on the potential in his pedigree but this is a very weak race and he could make the frame if the headgear works.

Never finished in the frame in any of his seven previous starts and there's very little in his previous form to suggest this longer trip will alter that fact.

Stamina isn't a problem and the filly arrives here after a sound effort over this trip at Yarmouth last month; runs off the same mark and will be staying on when the weaker ones have cried enough. Certainly merits consideration in a poor race.

Being out of the weights in poor race like this takes some doing; but she's 3lb wrong and appeals as the least likely to succeed.

Forecasts

Verdict

MISS GREEN DREAM is in a minority of those with proven stamina and could snatch this if allowed an easy lead under a featherweight. She runs from the same mark as when going close at Yarmouth last month and doesn't have much to find to dominate in this company. At the top end of the handicap, Irish raider Champagne Terri has some of the best form on offer and looks to be the most potent threat to the selection. She comes a long way for this and the betting will be an informative guide. Heatherdown is the pick of the remainder; although the fitting of a visor could also prompt some improvement from the lightly raced Smith, so he too merits a betting check.
  1. Miss Green Dream
  2. Champagne Terri
  3. Heatherdown
