Newmarket winner on final start over 1m2f as juvenile. Has ran well both starts at further this season without necessarily progressing and probably needs to eke out bit of improvement to double his tally. First run away from a sound surface.
Hasn't really gone this term having scored at Windsor as a juvenile. Didn't truly show he stayed this far when well beaten fourth at Haydocak and has 5L to find with Rochester House from that run.
Been busy this campaign but bounced back from ordinary run at Musselburgh when third at Haydock behind a horse on a roll. Likely more to come and one for the short list.
Two wins from three in novice company and took another step forward when trying 1m4f for the first time in Newmarket handicap. Creditable third that day and clear of the remainder. Likely to improve again at this longer trip and major player here.
Similar form first two runs before seemingly bogged down in the mud at Salisbury. Now steps up from 1m4f but opening handicap mark looks a touch harsh.
Has looked all about stamina to date and as a son of a Gold Cup winner will relish this extra 2f. Seemed to be tapped for toe at Lingfield but visor now goes on and has more to come.
Forecasts
Great Bear (2/1), Skymax (4/1), Rochester House (9/2), Divine Gift (9/2), Calculation (5/1), Arthur Pendragon (25/1)
GREAT BEAR probably bumped into a decent type at Newmarket and with the impression this further stamina test will prove to his liking, he is preferred to Calculation, another for whom the longer trip should be ideal. Rochester House is the type to bounce back and looks best of the rest.
