Drops down to 1m6f for the first time in a while having been campaigned over 2m, and also having only his second career run on turf. Stable continue to have a quiet spell.

Nowhere near the force of old and sliding mark reflects that, but showed a bit more in better race at Newmarket last Saturday and this a more realistic task.

Rattled off a fast ground Yarmouth hat-trick last summer but form since then has dropped alarmingly and yet to run beyond 1m4f so plenty to prove at present.

Lightly raced and improved for the first time hood when returning from an absence to win on soft ground at this trip at Yarmouth recently. Just up 2lb and should have more to come so clearly merits plenty of respect.

Eight race maiden who has shown his best form to date on AW. Steps up from 1m4f and possible that current trainer can squeeze improvement out of him.

Hold up performer who is in fine heart having followed Yarmouth win with good second at Ayr last week. Should again go well for this inexperienced rider.

Age: 11|  Weight: 8-12| J: Ella McCain| T: D McCain Jnr| OR:  60
8/1
Fit from hurdling campaign when fair third at Carlisle recently. Regularly ridden by this rider. Wouldn't want ground to dry out as all his best form is with ease.

Aria Rose36
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-7| J: George Bass(3)| T: D W P Arbuthnot| OR:  53

Not really progressing on AW over 1m4f and needs this longer trip and switch to turf to bring about improvement.

Forecasts

Imperial Court (2/1), Alabaster (4/1), The Resdev Way (13/2), Battle Of Marathon (7/1), Tawseef (8/1), Aria Rose (8/1), Jawshan (12/1), Bartholomew J (22/1)

Verdict

IMPERIAL COURT took a step forward to get off the mark at Yarmouth recently and although this is a touch harder, there may be more to come and he can follow up at the expense of Battle Of Marathon who showed a bit more at Newmarket last weekend. The Resdev Way would welcome a decent pace to aim at but does come here in peak form and may bag minor honours.
  1. Imperial Court
  2. Battle Of Marathon
  3. The Resdev Way
