Consistent sprinter who has shown a liking for Bath in recent outings. Has run well at this track in the past but has not won off such a high handicap mark since 2015. Should be in the mix but find a couple too good.

Held by Waseem Farls on their recent run at Bath; generally quite consistent and obviously in good heart at the moment but only occasionally gets his head in front these days.

Possibly unsuited by the soft ground when running below par at Windsor last time. Had previously been running right up to his at Newmarket, Goodwood and Brighton. One to consider unless ground rides soft.

Chance on the best of his form but last win came over a year ago. Nicely handicapped now and if reproducing run at Sandown on penultimate start he could go close on course he enjoys racing on.

Has been fairly consistent on the AW over the winter and spring and certainly has a chance on the best of his form. Tough gelding who is likely to be in the shake up once again.

Yet to spark since returning from her winter break. Some good efforts last season winning at Ayr, Catterick and Brighton. Recent form is worrying but capable of landing this on her day.

La Fortunat18

Has been off the boil of late but is a very good sprinter on her day but suspicion is she much prefers the AW these day though form of her Newmarket effort around this time of the year last season would give her every chance.

Forecasts

Harry Hurricane (3/1), Dr Doro (7/2), Foxy Forever (7/2), Waseem Faris (6/1), Pettochside (13/2), Zac Brown (7/1), La Fortuna (12/1)

Verdict

Quite a tight contest with many holding chances if running up to their recent best with a slight preference given to PETTOCHSIDE who can bounce back from a below par run at this track earlier this month to confirm the form he showed at Sandown a day previous. Harry Hurricane is another who ran below his best last time out but is certainly capable of winning this if repeating the form of his run at Newmarket last month. If Zac Brown can translate some of his recent AW form to turf then he rates a big danger.
  1. Pettochside
  2. Harry Hurricane
  3. La Fortuna
