Visibly learnt through her debut under a considerate ride with that kindness repaid on her second start over C&D. Despite playing up beforehand she did nothing wrong in the race, showing improved form in a weak race; penalty may anchor her.

Has a decent pedigree and showed some decent speed on his debut at Salisbury over 6f (soft ground); earlier this month showing ability amongst his inexperience. Should have more to offer with that experience behind him; no forlorn hope.

Given a considerate introduction as many juveniles from this yard are over 5f at Lingfield earlier this month. Would need more to figure here but should improve with this experience being of use in the future.

Cost 11,000 guineas as a yearling but still managed to split two that cost far in excess of that on her debut over 6f, soft at Yarmouth. No match for the odds-on Godolphin winner but still made an encouraging start; should be thereabouts.

Forecasts

Bredenbury (8/11), Lady Quickstep (7/4), Faldetta (11/4), Al Verde (5/1), Luscifer (14/1)

Verdict

An interesting little contest with the two previous winners having shown that they act around here with Faldetta having won over C&D and Lady Quickstep having been successful over 5f here. Both will be hard to beat but the weight they concede could tip the balance in favour of the debut Yarmouth runner-up BREDENBURY who outran her sales price on debut to split two expensive sorts. Al Verde wouldn’t be out of this either having shown good speed on his debut over this trip with progress to come.
