Came back from an 18-month layoff with a very sound performance; even allowing for the fact the handicapper had given him a real chance. Still in contention when rider's foot slipped on the run in. Up in trip and should stay. Likely to be involved.

Front runner has proved inconsistent this year but made all for a second win over fences at Stratford this month. Up 7lb but has gone close off higher marks in the past. Capable of going close if backing up the performance.

Has won two from four since switching to fences in October last year. Pulled up either side of those wins but they came when upped to a high grade. Has had wind surgery since last run in April but may find her jumping tested in this company.

Useful three-time winning hurdler but didn't look a natural over fences when a remote 11th of 16 at Uttoxeter in December, then a faller at the first at Wincanton and remote third of four at Newton Abbot. Plenty of improvement needed.

Gained a second win over fences at Musselburgh in December and has raced to a similar level when up in class the last twice. Capable of getting in the money but a bit to find with Western Miller from Stratford.

Up 20lb for winning his last two (front pair 6L clear latest), both over further. Has the speed to cope with the drop in distance but up in class and this will need more progress off his new mark.

Towcester maiden hurdle winner last December could only finish fourth as favourite beaten 12L at Carlisle on chase debut. Pulled up after breaking blood vessels at Newbury in November and unraced since. This looks a tough ask.

Three wins from 24 starts over fences but a further 10 placed efforts. Remains 5lb higher than last win in October 2018 over three miles. Drops in trip following two moderate efforts this year and broke blood vessels last start.

Forecasts

Al Shahir (9/4), Fortunes Hiding (9/2), Wolfcatcher (13/2), Majestic Moll (13/2), Eyes Of A Tiger (8/1), Western Miller (10/1), Midnight Maestro (12/1), Elkstone (16/1)

Verdict

EYES OF A TIGER is worth a try at this far and was unlucky when in contention on the long run in last time. Western Miller was impressive in winning his last start and remains on a competitive mark despite the rise. Majestic Moll has been let down by her jumping when upped in class but remains open to improvement over fences.
  1. Eyes Of A Tiger
  2. Western Miller
  3. Majestic Moll
