1/1
Landed a quickfire hat-trick when cruising clear at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good to soft) on Wednesday; carries a 7lb penalty for that success but with the assumption that she's taken that race in her stride should win again.

Turned in a lousy performance at Aintree (2m4f) last month, with a strong possibility being that she resented the blinkers; is better judged on her earlier Chepstow win (2m3½f); ground conditions are perfect; on a career high mark.

Veteran who appreciates some cut underfoot so might find these conditions on the lively side; 2lb higher than when finishing 9L second to Darling Miss over C&D (good to soft) a fortnight ago; 20lb better off today.

Productive around Worcester (2m4f-2m7f) in recent weeks, twice finishing runner up; is edging very slowly up the weights (still a hurdles maiden) and probably could've done without that summer jumps venue going under water in recent days.

Came from a difficult position to break the maiden at Musselburgh in March (2m4f, good to soft); on the whole has under-performed since with the exception of a second-placed Flat finish at the same East Lothian venue; cheekpieces applied.

33/1
14-race maiden who has placed good-ground form over this trip; left Charlie Longsdon for a mere £1,500 in May 2017; finished tailed-off on his recent belated stable debut (over C&D); no chance whatsoever on these terms.

Forecasts

Darling Miss (1/1), Get An Oscar (9/4), Always Tipsy (9/2), Silk Run (7/1), Hastrubal (10/1), Frame Rate (22/1), Song Of The Night (33/1)

Verdict

DARLING MISS seeks a seven day hat-trick (also a four-timer) after seamless short-odds wins at Hexham and Uttoxeter, and quite frankly it's very difficult to envisage a scenario where she doesn't land the spoils for Elliott and Johnson. Although strictly speaking on weights and measures Always Tipsy could potentially reverse C&D form from 13 days ago, the drying ground will surely count against Nick Alexander's 10yo gelding. Silk Run could give the thriving mare most to think about if bouncing back to form after a lousy effort at Aintree (resented the blinkers?).
  1. Darling Miss
  2. Silk Run
  3. Get An Oscar
