Miserly return of one from 20 Flat starts on turf. The promising form of the early part of the year has appeared to diminish in a number of below par runs since April.

Off the mark for connections at the fifth time of asking when landing a Naas 6f handicap before a 9lb rise put a halt to his progress at Navan last month. Quickly reassessed and may hold place claims in this company.

C&D winner last month off a 4lb lower mark beating 11 rivals by ½L. The mares win was not out of turn and the in form daughter of Le Cadre Noir can add to her fifth win here.

Well down the pack on his most recent starts at the Curragh. Both of his two career victories, from 11 starts, have come over 5½f at Navan. Others more appealing on the balance of recent sorties.

Winner on the AW at Dundalk in April but remains a seven-race maiden on turf. Out of form in a couple of starts this month, but no surprise to see the filly hit the frame in first time blinkers.

11-race maiden on turf who has done all of her winning on the AW. Ran well over this trip at Down Royal last month, but overall needs a couple to falter in this contest.

Without success in 12 starts on the Flat including being out of luck in nine starts on turf, though the gelding has hit the frame on three previous occasions. Worth a check in the market being the mount of Albany winning pilot on board.

The daughter of Requinto's sole win at Bath three years ago when in the care of Richard Hannon is a distant memory. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Forecasts

Teddy Boy (11/4), Polly Douglas (3/1), Tide Of Time (9/2), Twenty Minutes (13/2), Stanhope (7/1), Ty Rock Brandy (11/1), Sundance Star (11/1), Rattling Jewel (14/1), Blue Suede (33/1)

Verdict

C&D winner, POLLY DOUGLAS has returned in scintillating form this term and can confirm her good form in this contest off a 4lb higher mark. The Edward Lynam-trained, Teddy Boy can give another good account of himself and can emerge as the biggest danger under jockey David Egan who piloted Daahyeh to victory in the Albany at Royal Ascot yesterday. Twenty Minutes and Sundance Star look set to battle it out for the minor honours.
