Lost his way since winning on the AW last October and well beaten in three turf starts in April; been off since but still 4lb above his only previous winning mark.

Lost his way for his former yard and not seen out since being pulled up on the AW at Dundalk in February; best watched on debut for a new trainer.

Reasonable effort over C&D last time and merits respect from the same mark; conditions should also suit. Will be thereabouts if she can better his latest start.

Won an apprentice handicap at Cork on his penultimate start but was beating a retreat when he was eased last time out; he's better than that but does have a bit to prove. The betting can guide.

0-7 but plenty of ability locked away; back to form at Fairyhouse last time and races from the same mark. Suited by the conditions and unexposed at this trip; merits serious consideration in running for one of the most meticulous trainers around.

Fourth in a claimer at Sligo last moth was something like a return but this is a much tougher assignment and even a 4lb lower mark isn't enough to tempt a play even in a modest event like this.

Out of the weights and out of form since joining her current yard; not hard to overlook from a betting perspective.

Forecasts

Sacchoandvanzetti (5/4), Passing Trade (5/2), Pepperoni Pete (4/1), Tintoretto (8/1), Stamp Of Authority (16/1), Tomahawk Kid (25/1), Havana Breeze (33/1)

Verdict

SACCHOANDVANZETTI ran one of his best races when he was last tired over a mile and, as he comes into this on the back of a sterling run over 7f, he merits serious consideration now he's got the benefit of his seasonal debut behind him. Passing Trade is a likable filly who also posted a decent effort in her latest start and is respected as she runs from the same mark here. Pepperoni Pete is better than he showed at Gowran Park at the start of this month and merits a betting check as he's gone close over C&D before now. Tintoretto, who is also of modest ability, is the best of the rest.
  1. Sacchoandvanzetti
  2. Passing Trade
  3. Pepperoni Pete
