Got the hat-trick up last year but has been feeling the effects of a subsequent 8lb rise for the final of those three wins. Mark is steadily falling but is still 5lb higher than his last winning mark and hard to recommend in current form.
Doing okay this season and wasn't disgraced when fourth most recently in a hotly contested handicap at Chelmsford (1m; standard). Back down in grade now off a 1lb lower mark and certainly has the necessary talent to make her presence felt.
Victorious on the AW recently when a comfortable winner at Kempton (7f; standard to slow). Up in the weights and has something to prove back on turf, however, as last few efforts on the grass have been rather disappointing. Risky sort.
Produced a fair effort last time out when runner-up a Bath (1m; good to firm). Steps back down in trip to 7f now and could gain his first win in over a year off an unchanged mark.
Made a winning seasonal return to the track when successful at Brighton (1m; good to firm). Up 3lb for that and all his best form has come on quick ground so does have questions to answer. Player if handling the forecast good to soft ground.
Failed to beat a single rival on both starts this season, and despite possessing form on slower ground, her current form cannot be ignored. Has a lot to prove dropped a further 3lb by the handicapper.
Forecasts
Quick Breath (5/2), Salt Whistle Bay (3/1), Elysium Dream (4/1), De Vegas Kid (9/2), Jackpot Royale (5/1), Robsdelight (20/1)
Despite the fact she hasn't won a race since August last season, ELYSIUM DREAM holds some smart form to her name and has done little wrong in three starts so far this year. The combination of the drop back in trip/return to this easier grade should be enough to see her return to winning ways and stamp her class on this field. Salt Whistle Bay has gone close the last twice when runner-up on both occasions, but he may just come up short once again on his fifth start of the year. Raised just 3lb for a comfortable winning reappearance, De Vegas Kid may have been underestimated by the handicapper and is a genuine player if coping with slightly slower ground.
