A race which is certain to be keenly contested, but for those seeking the all too simplistic Serena Brotherton 'default position', she takes the mount aboard Earthly who tucked in snugly between today's rivals Thorntoun Care and Iolani at Haydock a fortnight ago. Nevada carries top-weight and unfortunately isn't being rewarded for his consistency by the handicapper with a gradual creep up the weights. In an open contest, the tentative advice is to opt for the turf maiden MR CARBONATOR. He went down fighting to a subsequent winner at Carlisle last week (with the third-placed horse declared to race at Hamilton on Wednesday).
