10-race maiden over fences the Scorpion gelding has produced a number of recent efforts that have been below-par and has not shown enough overall to be of interest in this contest.
Running as well as could be expected in a couple of starts since returning from a 449 day break at Fairyhouse in January. Beaten subsequently but not one to totally rule out.
Hurdle winner in France has run exceptional races in three of her four starts over the larger obstacles. Better than her last start suggest and worthy of consideration on handicap debut.
Winner over C&D last July off a 8lb lower mark. Added another win to her record at Market Rasen in August and the Subtle Power gelding sets the standard here.
Yet to win over fences although met some smart sorts in his novice days and probably found 2m inadequate previously. Third of eight over C&D earlier this month and entitled to make the shortlist.
Recently seen back over hurdles without success last month and the Kadeed gelding requires a whole lot of improvement to be considered on his fourth chase start to date.
Point-to-point winner in December the gelding has shown little in the way of ability in three dismal starts over the larger obstacles. On balance probably has something to find in this contest.
Winner of one of his 15 starts over fences with the sole win coming in a Downpatrick handicap chase 12 months ago off a 17lb lower mark. Possibly best watched here unless the market has other ideas.
Eight-race maiden over fences who has shown little or no ability in seven starts since January 2018. Pulled up on his last three starts in the point-to-point field, over hurdles and in a Ballinrobe handicap chase last month. Struggle looks likely.
Five-race maiden who has sent out encouraging signs in his last couple of starts at Killarny and Limerick last month finishing in the frame on both occasions. Looks to be an improving sort and merits plenty of respect.
