Consistent and progressive handicapper who got here head in front at Doncaster last month over this trip before having to settle for third off 4lb higher mark there two weeks later. More needed to score off this rating.

Won mile maiden at Nottingham last summer but was then in the doldrums until better effort off falling mark when beaten just half length into second at Leicester last time. Back up 2lb but potentially nicely handicapped on pick of old form.

Looks ready for this step up in trip after staying on in eyecatching fashion over a mile at Kempton a fortnight ago on belated seasonal return. Handles turf and represents yard in fair form so looks a contender.

Ran nicely almost every start as a juvenile last term other than when outclassed in French Group 3 at end of campaign. Solid first effort at this trip on return when good second at Doncaster and with good apprentice claiming 3lb has solid claims.

Just about stays this trip but seems better at around a mile. Has faded tamely on each of her last two starts but is down 4lb as a result. Doesn't appear in the best of form though at present and has a bit to do.

Forecast

Black Lotus (15/8), Amber Spark (3/1), Existential (4/1), Camelot Rakti (5/1), Lady Alavesa (6/1)

Verdict

A tricky little handicap but CAMELOT RAKTI is interesting stepping up in trip after a solid first run of the campaign and can land the spoils. Amber Spark is at the right end of the weights and shouldn't be at all far away on recent evidence, whlie of the two at the top of the handicap Existential makes more appeal than Black Lotus and looks weighted to go well.
  1. Camelot Rakti
  2. Amber Spark
  3. Existential
