Forecasts

The New Marwan (9/4), Haldane (7/2), Matera (4/1), One Hart (5/1), Aberama Gold (8/1), Corndavon Lad (9/1), Bad Rabbit (66/1)

Verdict

A competitive juvenile maiden in which the newcomer One Hart is worthy of inspection, although the suspicion is that he'll come into his own over further. Matera is likely to have taken plenty from his Haydock debut (an eye-catching fourth to a promising type) and assuming that he copes with this sounder surface should benefit by stepping up in trip. However, it is Richard Fahey who holds the nap hand, with Corndavon Lad and THE NEW MARWAN both obvious candidates for success. The selection is the mount of the promising 3lb claimer Sean Davis, and the pair can make amends for missing a suitable winning opportunity following the abandonment of Haydock (Thursday).
  1. The New Marwan
  2. Corndavon Lad
  3. Matera
