Struggled to land any blow in 3m2f Hunter Chase at Cartmel last month. Now 10-years-old and needs to regain some initiative for the fitting of first-time blinkers it seems.

Sent off 9-4f on debut for this trainer at Worcester (2m7f, good) on the first of the month and finished third of nine, perhaps would have done better if jumping the last with more fluency. Chance here.

Won on his debut for his current yard at Huntington on Boxing Day but has struggled to hold his form since, including last time out at Market Rasen. Finds weak affair now however.

3-11 in points (last win in that sphere came in March). Fortunate winner of his first race under Rules (left clear at two out); well beaten in a recent hunter chase at Kelso and needs a bit more.

Verdict

He was a beaten favourite at Worcester on debut for this trainer but RONAVA finds a suitable chance to make amends now and even a reproduction of that effort may prove sufficient. Streets Of Milan may do better with the champion jockey aboard and is feared most ahead of Well Smitten, who has wining form since joining the Amy Murphy stable and going chasing but does lack consistency.
