18-race maiden who has hit the frame on a couple of occasions from 10 Flat starts on turf. Well held over hurdles recently and at Tipperary on the level in April. No surprise to see him bounce back.

Gleding by Windsor Knot out of a Pelder mare. Not disgraced on racecourse debut in a Ballinrobe bumper last month. Likely to improve for this first run on the Flat.

Gelded son of Frankel who didn't come up to expectations having just the one starts for trainer, Sir Mark Prescott nearly two years ago. Finished down the field on comeback run at Gowran Park recently and has plenty to prove here.

Three-race maiden not disgraced in each of her starts and appears to be improving with every start. Good chance handicaps will suit on the back of this challenge.

Earlier progress in a number of bumper starts appear to have leveled out and recent efforts towards the end of the year on the level and over hurdles have not been of an acceptable standard. Others preferred.

Hayyel (2/1), Lucky Phil (5/2), Itsalonglongroad (7/2), Getaway Katie Mai (9/2), Iamastartoo (5/1), Johnny Batt (12/1), White Guard (14/1), Shop Street (50/1)

Verdict

The solid and consistent mare, GETAWAY KATIE MAI, is a winner over hurdles and bumpers including a Grade 2 contest at Aintree over 12 months ago. Trainer John Queally looks to have found an ideal opportunity for the Getaway mare to get off the mark making her debut on the Flat in this contest and gaining the upper-hand ahead of Itsalonglongroad and Hayyel in the closing feature.
  1. Getaway Katie Mai
  2. Itsalonglongroad
