Rebecca Bastiman's 5yo acquitted himself well over a longer trip at Hamilton (third), but dropping back a furlong on softer ground should further play to his strengths. Of the others, only Whatwouldyouknow makes any form of appeal, albeit with a cautionary glance at the betting advisable for the returning (and possibly clean winded) filly Ventura Royal.
