Good form in bumpers backed up by a debut hurdles win at Killarney last month; up in trip and a penalty to carry but going the right way and is worth considering again.
Proving versatile but shapes as if a test of stamina won't be too much of an issue. Sean Flanagan has already coaxed a hurdles win out of the gelding, who ran with credit when second on the Flat at Leopardstown last week. Has to be a player here.
Came good in a point-to-point at Ballingarry and has to be respected on the pick of his form in the amateur ranks. This does look a lot tougher and he might be best watched on his debut under rules.
Been consistent over hurdles in her three starts over timber so far; won well at Tramore last month and, given that her yard won this race last year, the mare has to merit a betting check on these terms.

Doctor Duffy (11/10), Jerandme (7/4), Judgement Day (7/4), Dona Katharina (10/3), Bunninadden (40/1)
Noel Meade has a good record in this race and he looks to have another viable candidate for top honours in the shape of JERANDME, who goes well for tonight's rider and can be expected to cope with the extra demands on his stamina over this new trip. Gordon Elliott, who sent out last year's winner in this corresponding race, is represented by the improving Dona Katharina, who is feared as a big threat to the selection given the the manner her success at Tramore at the end of last month; a run which suggested she that plenty more to offer. Doctor Duffy and Judgement Day are the pick of the remainder.
- Jerandme
- Dona Katharina
- Doctor Duffy
