Showed his liking for testing ground when scoring on heavy at Nottingham on Thursday and should make a bold repeat bd under his 6lb penalty with conditions once again looking ideal.

Yet to win but has run a few fair races in defeat. Was disappointing though last time when fading fast over 7f at Kempton and interesting to see how she copes with soft ground off 3lb lower mark.

Ran poorly only previous try on soft ground but that was over a mile. Has otherwise shaped well enough last two starts. Young rider yet to hit the target and is 0-34 to date.

Failed to score in eight attempts for James Given and makes debut here for very much in-form yard. Eased 4lb following defeat in Beverley seller last time. Has something to prove but change of scene might help cause.

Stayed on well inside final furlong at Lingfield recently having finished fair third at Windsor time before. Appears to be in form and 2lb lower mark gives her every chance of being in the mix.

Has struggled on quick ground last two starts but unproven on this testing going. Sire won Group 1 in heavy ground so has possibilities. Young rider a respectable 2-15 this term.

Very disappointing all starts so far and has yet to even threat to reach a place. Down 3lb more following modest effort at Wolverhampton latest and can't be fancied.

Plodded on over 7f at Kempton last time and surprising to see her dropping down in trip. Yet to reach a place in five starts and appears an unlikely winner on what we've seen so far. First time cheekpieces worn.

Forecasts

Stallone (9/4), My Law (4/1), Jungle Juice (9/2), Alicia Darcy (9/2), Stay Forever (6/1), Miss Gargar (16/1), Grey Hare (25/1), Anglesey Penny (66/1)

Verdict

Although he is set to carry plenty of weight in these conditions, recent winner STALLONE should make a bold bid once again as he revels in the soft and has a decent apprentice on board. My Law may not be far away after two sound recent efforts, while Miss Gargar may improve for tackling the soft ground for the first time. Stay Forever is not out of it, nor is Jungle Juice if handling the cut underfoot.
  1. Stallone
  2. My Law
  3. Miss Gargar
