Plunged into odds-on favourite on debut here last June and returned with a similar effort next when fourth once again as even money market leader. Major player on hurdling debut.

Without any success in three maiden hurdle starts to date, well beaten and never nearer on each occasion. Others look open to more improvement.

Running better than distances beaten suggest. Can get off the mark for connections at the fifth time of asking over hurdles with Co Meath yard boasting a 49% win and place strike rate at this meeting in the last four years.

10/1
Promising gelding in the point-to-point field but has appeared a little overwhelmed in a couple of maiden hurdle starts last month. Can be expected to appreciate the move in to handicap company eventually.
May be flattered by the finishing position on his last start at Listowel earlier this month in a 2m maiden hurdle on good ground. May slip in to a place.

Not much to shout about in three career maiden hurdle efforts to date. Sent off at odds of 66/1 on latest start at Clonmel earlier this month and probably best watched for now.

Six-race maiden hurdler who is another in the field to be flattered by recent finishing position at Clonmel earlier in the month. Possibly best watched unless market vibes suggest otherwise.

Finished down the field in a Fairyhouse bumper when last seen in January. First time tongue tie fitted for hurdling debut and market likely to reveal expectations in this contest.
Well held in a Clonmel bumper in March before finishing 58L adrift of the winner of a Wexford maiden over 3m earlier this month on hurdling debut. Tough to see where improvement is coming from.

Cost €10,000 and is a half-brother to 2m7f and 3m hurdles winner Special Prep. Finished down the pack when racing towards the rear for most of the way on hurdling debut at Tramore last month. Hard to fancy.

16/1
Without success in 13 career starts including a couple of dismal efforts over hurdles earlier this year. Hard to fancy on overall evidence and others hold sturdier claims.

22/1
68-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer Andrew Balding without success in six starts for the Hampshire handler. No impression from two out on hurdling debut at Down Royal last month. Has a bit to prove at present.

Mister H30
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-5| J: R P Treacy(5)| T: S Fahey
33/1
Has produced a couple of laboured runs over hurdles at Sligo and Kilbeggan in maiden company recently. Hard to see him making any significant impact on third hurdle start.

Horse silk
66/1
Pulled up on sole point-to-point start last month before finishing 108L behind the winner on hurdling debut in a Roscommon maiden over 2m earlier this month. First-time tongue tie unlikely to trigger improvement needed to play a role in the finish.
September Storm gelding out of a Taipan mare. Dam unraced. Half-brother to 3m hurdle winner, Quarry Lami and Amazing Scenes, bumper winner. Pulled up on latest point-to-point start and best avoided on hurdling debut.

Verdict

The Gordon Elliott-trained, CATS FOR CASH can get off the mark for connections at the fifth time of asking over hurdles with Co Meath yard boasting a 49% win and place strike rate at this meeting in the last four years. Argent Et Or is becoming a frustration for punters having being back in to favouritism on both of his Punchestown bumper starts, but remains enough of a danger on hurdling debut. Gansters Paradise and Laureate can battle for remaining prize money.
