Doubly penalised for good ground victories at Fontwell (2m1½f) and Kelso (2m), making all to win unchallenged (4/6f) at the Borders venue three weeks ago; twice placed on soft/heavy during his Irish bumper days.
Cost €75,000 as a 3yo; returned from a lengthy absence with a fair hurdles debut at Ayr (2m, soft) in February; disappointing when upped to 2m4f on his next start (2/1f), and does need to brush up his jumping, albeit remains an obvious contender.
Poor Flat maiden (43-rated); distant last of three on hurdles debut at Sedgefield (2m1f, good) last month; holds no conceivable chance.
Flemensfirth gelding; makes his rules/stable debut after competing in Irish PTP's; 2L winner of a Ballysteen maiden (3m, yielding) in April; dam was an unraced sister to the classy chaser Nick Dundee; consult the market.
Soft ground 61-rated 1m2f Flat winner (Yarmouth) for previous trainer Julia Fielden; out of sorts for a while and having joined this trainer recently for £4,000 has a third attempt over hurdles (moderate previously).
Home bred out of the 2m-2m5f chase winner Posh Stick; half-brother to the PTP winner Ripstick; never competitive on hurdles debut here (2m4f, good) last month, and it's highly unlikely that dropping back in trip will coax improvement.
Unraced Tikkanen gelding out of a 2m4f-2m6f hurdles winner (Bonnie Rock); starts off at a realistic level, although equally can hardly be expected to trouble the market principals.
1m2f Haydock Flat winner for Peter Chapple-Hyam in May 2018; joined current connections for 32,000gns in October 2018; masses to find with Some Day Soon on Kelso form; wears a newly applied hood (can race keenly).
Half-sister to the winning chasers Miss Conway (2m-2m3f) and Miss Amelia (2m1f), so if she is to have a positive future as a racehorse, it'll be with time over fences; no chance in this contest.
Youmzain mare from an unraced dam; 50/1 when jumping poorly throughout and pulled up on debut at Perth last Sunday; couldn't be entertained judged solely on that display.
Forecasts
Some Day Soon (1/4), Carry On Arcadio (3/1), Blooriedotcom (14/1), Mister Flemington (14/1), Oceanus (16/1), Tikerty Tok (16/1), Temple Guide (33/1), Miss Charlton (66/1), Cryogenics (100/1), Phoebes Saga (100/1)
Despite keeping an advisable cautious watch of the market exchanges with regards the rules newcomer Mister Flemington, realistically it's very difficult to look beyond the rather obvious pair of SOME DAY SOON and Carry On Arcadio. Jamie Snowden has placed his horse well so far in 2019, and has found a suitable opportunity for his 127-rated gelding to defy the burden of a double penalty. He was proficient on soft ground in his Irish days (in bumpers) and the riding instructions for Gavin Sheehan would appear to be relatively simple; jump out in front and seek to make all.
- Some Day Soon
- Carry On Arcadio
- Mister Flemington
