Scorpion gelding won on second chase start at Perth in September off a 3lb lower mark before a setback when stepping in to novice company. Possibly needed the spin over hurdles at Ballinrobe last month and very much a leading contender in this heat.
Modest 102-rated handicap hurdler who was in good form last summer. Last success over fences came in a Gowran Park handicap 18-months ago off a similar mark. Has gone well fresh previously and not totally ruled out.
Solid and consistent sort running well in defeat without getting his head in front in nine starts over the larger obstacles. May go well again but needs a couple to falter.
Off the mark for connections at the fourth time of asking over fences when landing a Wexford handicap over 2m4f off a 7lb lower mark on first start for yard. Life more difficult under a penalty but a leading player.
13-race maiden over the larger obstacles but has shown he is capable of hitting the frame on a number of occasions when running well in defeat. Market likely to be the best guide.
Has been mixing it on the Flat, over hurdles and fences without success recently. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Off the mark over fences on debut here over 2m3½f last month. Can possibly be forgiven his last run at Uttoxeter earlier this month and very much worthy of consideration in this contest.
Below-par 95-rated handicap hurdler and has appeared overwhelmed in a couple of initial starts over fences at Naas and Down Royal when last seen in March. Not in the form required to play a part.
Popular veteran still hitting the frame at a ripe old age. Beaten 68L in a Wexford handicap chase when last seen in April and holds place claims at best here.

Mindsmadeup (3/1), The Jam Man (5/1), Creadan Grae (5/1), Pat's Pearl (5/1), King's War (6/1), School Lane (7/1), See Double You (14/1), Persian Wind (14/1), Turbo (14/1), Darcy Mcgees (20/1)
With a good number of the field struggling for form, trainer Gordon Elliott may have found an ideal opening for CREADAN GRAE to get back to winning ways. The seven-year-old won on second chase start at Perth in September and can get the better of the rejuvenated, Kings War, winner at Wexford on last start and the John McConnell-trained course winner, Pat's Pearl. It would not come as a surprise should, School Lane return to form.
- Creadan Grae
- King's War
- Pat's Pearl
