Not disgraced in a number of starts since April. Has been known to burst blood vessels and can go well but comes with plenty of danger attached.
Winner of three of his 13 starts on turf but has been more recently mixing it up on the AW at Dundalk and over hurdles. Handicap mark continues to fall but hard to be confident at present in first-time blinkers.
Has caught the eye when running well in defeat in a couple of recent starts at Limerick and Killarney. Went very close on penultimate start and a repeat effort would herald another bold bid.
Won over this trip when landing a Naas good ground handicap off a 14lb lower mark in September. Continued winning ways since and possibly needed the run on return to action at Navan when disappointing recently. Place claims.
Distance winner of a Listowel maiden on debut in September. Not disgraced in a couple of runs since but disappointed on maiden hurdle debut at Naas when last seen in January. Worthy of consideration back on the Flat.
Sole win came on the AW at Kempton when in the care of trainer William Knight. Yet to show anything of significance in a couple of starts for current connections.
Disappointing sort who has been in poor form producing a number of dismal efforts on the Flat and over hurdles since the turn of the year. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Sole win in eight for the Roderic O'Connor gelding came over C&D 12 months ago off a 4lb lower mark. Last of 10 in a disappointing return to action at Roscommon recently hard to construct much of a case for him here.
Daughter of Elusive Pimpernel has struggled on all four career starts to date including a 27L reversal at Down Royal last month. Needs to improve on even her best form to play a role here.
Forecasts
Jake Peter (11/10), Vitudurum (6/1), Schoolboy Error (8/1), Cacique Royale (8/1), Ingenuity (17/2), Contrapposto (10/1), Goodwood Showman (10/1), Tooreen Legend (16/1), Starbella (33/1)
The Intikhab gelding, JAKE PETER who has caught the eye when running well in defeat in a couple of recent starts at Limerick and Killarney can add to his two existing victory's on turf by landing the spoils here. The five-year-old has conditions to suit in this contest with the Listowel distance winner, Vitudurum emerging as his biggest danger. Cacique Royale is better than her most recent start suggests and appears capable of hitting the frame.
- Jake Peter
- Vitudurum
- Cacique Royale
