A low grade handicap but it is well contested. ABUSHAMAH may just about come out on top having done really well on his last two starts. The straight mile should suit him ideally. Fellow northern raider Ascot Week hails from a yard in very good form and went close at Ayr recently so has to be on the short-list, while veteran Lunar Deity likes it here and is holding his form well at present. Southwell scorer Khaan won with plenty in hand last time but faces a different challenge off a much higher mark. He cannot be ruled out though, and nor can King Oswald.
