Far better than he demonstrated when finishing down the field in the Silver Bowl over 1m here (good to firm) 18 days ago; 3lb above his last winning mark when beating Loch Ness Monster by a head over C&D (good to soft) immediately prior.

Slowly away and always on the back foot when tackling a Listed contest at York latest; better judged on her earlier efforts as a three-time winner (all over 1m); 4b higher than when making all to beat Alkaamel by 1L at Ripon in April; ground?

Off the mark at the fourth time of asking (handicap debut; Class 5) when ploughing through the mud at Carlisle a fortnight ago; 6lb higher in a much stronger race, but still with plenty of recommendable traits.

Verdict

A very tricky puzzle to solve. Zip steps up in trip after finishing second here over 7f on Saturday, while the similarly heavy ground proved Carlisle winner Global Gift now races at a much elevated level (Class 3). Divinity couldn't get her own way after blowing the start in Listed company at York and a line is safely drawn through that effort, although her prowess on such testing ground is a complete unknown. Therefore, the default position turns to the Mark Johnston-trained runner OASIS PRINCE who had landed the hat-trick prior to 'flopping' in the Silver Bowl. He had valid excuses that afternoon and is probably worth chancing.
  1. Oasis Prince
  2. Global Gift
