Returns from a wind op which ties in with his last run at Worcester (pulled up) having gone well for a long way racing (for once) off his proper mark. Tongue-tie back on now; interesting to see how he handles fences now back to 2m after the op.
A real hotch-potch of performances has followed her successful start over fences at Bangor last year off a 5lb higher mark. Two most recent efforts have been marred by mistakes and half-hearted attitude last time; hard to rely on her for now.
Took an age to get off the mark but well-suited by the pace scenario when he did at Market Rasen last year. Shaped well enough in two outings so far this year back from a break; flattered by his second last time but this looks an easier test.
Hardly has the most persuasive record failing to complete on her last three starts; fell last time out at Fontwell (2m6f), looked to be running out of stamina. Drops back to 2m here but still looks vulnerable; others hold more persuasive claims.
Failed to win in any sphere as yet with his two recent starts over fences under Rules only looking to be modest form. Gets a little more respite from the handicapper (dropped 2lb) but would need a further ease in the weights to be competitive.
Showed little over hurdles and appeared to be going the same way until scoring by an impressive 13L at Ffos Las last time (in control from five out). Less testing ground and/or the drop to 2m may well have helped; up 10lb, still competitive.
Not an obvious chaser given his pedigree he was well held on his first foray into this sphere (ran far too free in first-time cheekpieces). Tongue-tie now returns (cheekpieces removed) as he tries again off a 4lb lower mark.
A career-low mark plus some wind surgery looked to be the facilitator for a 8l all-the-way win at Southwell last time (jumped well). Had plenty go right there and now shoulders a 7lb penalty bidding to follow up; needs a perfect storm again.
