18,000 gns yearling. Fourth foal, half-brother to 6f winner Restless Rose. Dam won at this trip. First juvenile runner of the season for trainer.
Prominent in the betting on both starts and having led, it didn't look like he got home at 6f last time. May be able to bag the rails with his experience which would be a plus.

£8,000 two-year-old. First foal and dam won over 6f as a juvenile. Stable not associated with debut winners though some interest on jockey booking.

Brother to two winners from 6f to 1m4f. Dam maiden who was placed at 6f. Yrd 0-14 with juveniles this term.

Improved effort back down to this trip when third at Windsor last time. That was an improvement and probably represents the best form to date though hardly a high standard.

Missed break in conditions event at Chester on second start and not disgraced in the circumstances. This much weaker and has to be respected though wide draw not ideal.

Similar level of ability both starts on varying ground. Well backed when trying 6f last time and quickly back down to the minimum now. Yard among the winners.

Horse silk

£3,500 yearling. Third foal, half-sister to two sprint winners and dam won as a juvenile so worth keeping an eye on in market.

11l fifth on Windsor debut last month. Started 100/1 that day so ran as well as could be expected and could be more to come due to the fact she was a touch green.

Forecasts

Ocasio Cortez (7/4), Newyorkstateofmind (7/2), Champagne Highlife (7/2), Microscopic (6/1), Santorini Sal (16/1), Lexi The One (18/1), Luscifer (20/1), Knockacurra (20/1), Epsom Faithfull (50/1)

Verdict

In a weak contest any confidence in the newcomers would have to be of interest but of those with experience OCASIO CORTEZ from the plum rails draw may be able to repel Champagne Highlife with Lexi The One of interest having found a conditions race at Chester last month too much.
  1. Ocasio Cortez
  2. Champagne Highlife
  3. Lexi The One
