Improved from debut promise to beat South Pacific by 4¼L in a 1m1f maiden at Tipperary (soft) in October, and looks the type to find plenty more improvement this year. Shortlisted.

Three wins from five starts this season, and heavily nacked before landing a 1m1½f handicap at Gowran on Monday. Strong at the finish there, and should stay this trip, while he remains fairly treated under a 6lb penalty.

Third in a 1¼m handicap at Leopardstown in April, but ran poorly when tried in blinkers last time, and headgear left off on this retrieval mission. Bit to prove.

Has plenty of ability, but yet to justify his massive price-tag, and while he ran well when third in a C&D maiden last time with blinkers fitted, he didn't fully convince with his application. Place claims at best here.

Gradually progressive form in maidens, finishing fifth to Sir Dragonet at Tipperary before a creditable sixth of 11 at Navan. Blinkers tried now, and handicapper has not been at all harsh with opening mark.

Form is very mixed, although she improved to force a dead-heat in a 1m2½f maiden at Dundalk last time. Needs to prove she is not flattered by that standout effort.

Verdict

It may be worth chancing handicap debutant GEALACH here, as the gelding, who wasn't too far behind Sir Dragonet at Tipperary, has been handed a potentially lenient opening mark, and is the sort who will take well to blinkers. Micro Manage is thoroughly unexposed and looks a big threat with his maiden win working out, and Monday's Gowran winner Cuban Hope should improve again at this trip and is respected as he tries to defy a penalty.
