Horse A-Z
100,000gns yearling by Kingman. Better than the bare result when 10¼L fourth of 17 to Sunday Sovereign in a C&D maiden last month, and type to improve significantly now.
War Command half-brother to useful 2-y-o 5f winner Elizabeth Darcy out of a half-sister to useful winner up to 1¾m Precious Ramotswe. Cost €98,000, and yard 2-6 with 2-y-o debutants this year, so considered.

By Power out of a maiden who stayed 2m. Makes little appeal with yard yet to hit the frame with any of its juveniles this year.
Gleneagles half-brother to several winners, including 5f/6f winner Airglow and 2-y-o 7f winner Grizzle. One of three here for leading yard, and riding arrangements suggest he's the first string.

By Gregorian out of a sprint maiden and already gelded. Stablemate of Power Source, so market could guide, but both appear hard to fancy at first glance.

Brother to Tattersalls Gold Cup winner Lancaster Bomber and half-brother to tip-top miler Excelebration. Needed the experience when 7½L sixth of 11 to Mohican Heights in a 7f maiden at Leopardstown, and will improve.
By Galileo out of Cheveley Park Stakes winner and 1000 Guineas third Tiggy Wiggy. Bred to be exceptional, and much respected for all she's sure to improve for the experience.

9/2
Starspangledbanner filly who finished well ahead of War Leader when 1¼L second of 11 to Mohican Heights in a 7f maiden at Leopardstown on debut. Sets the form standard, and likely to do better yet.

Forecasts

Alligator Alley (13/8), Lil Grey (9/2), Royal County Down (5/1), War Leader (5/1), Year Of The Tiger (7/1), Flight Command (8/1), Power Source (50/1), Urban Boom (50/1)

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has three likely types, with ROYAL COUNTY DOWN perhaps the sharpest on paper, and riding arrangements seem to back that up. That said, Year Of The Tiger is out of the brilliant juvenile Tiggy Wiggy, and also needs respect, with Lil Grey and Alligator Alley the pick of those with experience.
  1. Royal County Down
  2. Lil Grey
  3. Year Of The Tiger
