Fairly useful handicapper but hasn't been seen at his best in his last two starts (slow start last time); better judged on his Pontefract run in April. Only beaten on that occasion by one who had plummeted in the weights; back on last winning mark.
C&D winner (off a much lower mark); really only seen to proper effect once in three starts since returning from a break. Poorly placed over C&D last time (finished with running left); not one to write off back at this track; needs a decent pace.
Going through a particularly good spell at the moment with two wins already to his name this year with one coming over C&D. Far from disgraced since that win recording a sound second last time at Bath over this trip; expected to go close.
From a stable that always need to be respected with their runners here but is proving more miss than hit since joining the yard. Well held over 2f further on turf at Lingfield last time; now tries cheekpieces for the first time.
The third C&D winner in the field (won four times here); ended last year out of sorts and has started this year in the same vein. Has dropped down below her last winning mark (7lb below); needs to find her good course form again.

It’s hard to argue with the good form that Waqt has been showing of late and he’s holding his form well and the handicapper is also treating him well through this good spell with his mark still a very workable one. He should continue to give a good account but NARJES just shades the verdict having looked a little unlucky under an inexperienced claimer last time when not finding a clear run and finishing with running left. He’s Our Star isn’t out of this but he does need to reproduce his winning form here rather than his last run to have a chance with preference for Arctic Sea who returns to his last winning mark with a good apprentice booked.
