C&D winner was scoring for the fourth time over hurdles when victorious by 12L at Uttoxeter (2m, good-to-soft) last week. Cheekpieces worn for the first time that day are retained and likely to prove hard to beat under a 7lb penalty.
Handicap mark is falling following some heavy defeats in competitive contests in recent months. Top jockey booked to ride off a mark 4lb higher than for his most recent success.
Promising third over an extended 1m7f at Ascot (good) at the end of March. Decent 5L fifth on the Flat at Doncaster (good) subsequently and of interest in this contest.
Finished third in 2m novice hurdles on good going at Hexham the last twice. Beaten 4¼L a month ago on the most recent of those and is worth a check in the market on handicap debut.
Placed in a Fakenham (2m, good) bumper on debut in February. Fair form in defeat sine and interesting to see how he fares on handicap debut following wind surgery.
