Things seemed to have clicked recently. Won at Hamilton (1m; good to firm) and then backed that effort up when second at Pontefract recently. Steps into Class 4 company for the first time, but no reason why she can't be a player when in this form.
Surged back to form at York (1m2f; standard) 10 days ago when runner-up behind the upwardly mobile Makawee. Raised 3lb for that and could now get her career back on track if running to a similar level.
Has the most appealing profile in this contest. Still unexposed after having just the six runs. Showed vastly improved form after being switched to handicap company last season. Perfectly possible she can improve again as a four-year-old.
Sole run here was on debut when finishing third. Has ran mostly on turf since. Held on by a neck at Yarmouth (1m2f; good) two starts ago and should find this much easier than latest assignment (totally outclassed in pattern company).
Cracking record at this track (dual C&D winner and place multiple times). Showed she can mix at this level when third in a Class 4 here two starts back. First attempt at 1m2f, but no obvious reason why that won't suit. Likelier candidate.
Half-length in front of Lucy's Law at Wetherby (1m2f; good to soft) recently. 1lb higher now and has an unpredictable profile but every chance if able to replicate that form. Sole visit to this track does not read well however.
A winner at this track off a 4lb higher mark back in September 2016. Inconsistent since then and held up with injury, but latest third at Wetherby (1m2f; good to soft) was better. Likely to be spot on now and could go well.
Forecasts
Tamreer (9/4), Voi (9/2), Never Be Enough (9/2), Elixsoft (6/1), Lucy's Law (15/2), Apache Blaze (9/1), Snowdon (11/1)
Although she is the only filly in the line-up who hasn't had an outing this season, that shouldn't inconvenience SNOWDON too much as she looks to continue where she left off last season. She stepped up on what she had previously shown when switched to handicaps last summer and after having just the six career runs, this daughter of Iffraaj should be able to find the required improvement to take this on her AW debut. Tamreer can push Michael Dods' charge all the way after finishing behind a talented sort at York recently (form has since been franked), while the in-form Never Be Enough is likely to give a bold show off top-weight after producing two good runs of late.
- Snowdon
- Tamreer
- Never Be Enough
