Was a winner at Warwick (2m3½f) back in November where he scored by 6L. Form hasn't quite lived up to that since then. Was a long way down the field at Newton Abbot (2m2½f) last month. Others preferred.

A comfortable winner at Cartmel (2m1f) last July to break his maiden over hurdles. Made a return to action following a wind-op at Aintree (2m4f) last time where he was disappointing. Needs to bounce back.

Was a C&D winner here on his last start where he made all in an impressive display. He has gone up 7lb for that success but he is in great form this year. Leading chance.

Had every chance of success before falling at the penultimate hurdle at Market Rasen (2m2½f) two starts back. Was disappointing at Huntingdon (2m3½f) last time out. Continues to fall down the weights so given a chance at this mark.

Made his seasonal reappearance at this track last month where he ran moderately well when sixth of nine runners. Will be much fitter from that run so expect a better performance this time over a longer trip.

Was fifth of 17 runners at Ludlow (2m5f) last month where he just weakned inside the closing stages. Back down in trip and now at a distance he has won over before. One for shortlist.

Age: 10|  Weight: 10-11| J: James Nixon(5)| T: A W Carroll| OR:  96| CD
6/1
A C&D winner who prevailed here last August. Has been very busy since that success and he has won twice to add to his record. His two runs this spring has been below form. Needs to bounce back.

Forecasts

Wazowski (9/2), Delface (9/2), Sinakar (6/1), Outcrop (6/1), Kingston (6/1), Stage Summit (6/1), Secret Escape (10/1), Unblinking (12/1), Oxford Blu (14/1), Watt Broderick (25/1)

Verdict

WAZOWSKI was really impressive last time out when scoring over this C&D and he looks able to defy his 7lb rise up the weights. He will be ridden positively once again and may take some passing. Delface will be better for this step up in trip and capable of scoring here, while Oxford Blu has been given a great chance by the handicapper at this mark.

  3. Oxford Blu
