Six-time winner but just one win from 27 starts on turf and his last five have been at two miles or beyond. Gets a welcome big drop in grade but concern that ground may be too quick over a trip on the short side of ideal.
Back-to-back winner in January on fibresand but finished disappointingly last on his most recent two starts. Yet to show a real liking for turf in three efforts and has plenty to prove now.
Two wins from 10 on turf, handles any ground and back on last winning mark. Well beaten on three starts this year, that is well below his best and questions to be answered at the moment.
Ran well in warm juvenile hurdle races during the winter. Pulled up at the Cheltenham Festival but ran with promise back on the Flat when staying on third over 1m5f on soft at Lingfield. Back in grade and handles fast ground. Leading player.
Both turf wins have come in testing conditions but handles faster ground. Yet to prove himself at this far although 2lb below last winning mark. Not disgraced on reappearance and probably needed the run after a 634-day absence. Could go well.

Forecasts
Oi The Clubb Oi's (8/13), Dagueneau (9/2), Gavlar (8/1), Deinonychus (9/1), Wynford (10/1), Temur Khan (12/1)
A small field with not a lot of pace on offer, gives the well handicapped Deinonychus the chance of an easy lead over a trip which would normally stretch his stamina. OI THE CLUBB OI'S has shaped as though this trip will be ideal, has more to offer on a quicker surface and in four starts on turf on the Flat, has a win and two thirds to his name. Gavlar ideally needs a much stiffer test but the significant drop in class brings him into the argument.
