Showed a good level of form in bumpers but failed to manage a win in six starts in that sphere. Finished a well beaten third in both starts over hurdles but takes on weaker opponents here. Worth considering.

Modest form shown so far and has a lot to prove at present. Others much more appealing.
Well beaten over C&D on hurdles debut last month and plenty to find on that level of form.
Poor completion rate in point-to-points and not made much impression in bumpers and two starts over hurdles. Another with a lot to find.
Best effort when third in a bumper at this course but yet to inspire any confidence over hurdles. Hard to make a case for her just now.

British form was average at best but the mare has made very little progress since joining her current yard. Well beaten in all starts over hurdles before now.

Won a point-to-point in February and did show promise on debut in a bumper at Down Royal in March. Not so good last time and was eased in the straight, so comes here with a bit to prove.

Best effort when third in a bumper at Listowel but that was a good while ago and the mare was well beaten ion her return to action over hurdles last month. Hard to recommend.
Cost just €8000 but makes some appeal on pedigree; she's a sister to 2m winner Millieann and is out of a mare from the same family as Marlborough, who was high-class in his day. Not over faced for rules debut but yard is quiet.
Not had much fun in her races prior to a much improved effort last time out at Thurles. Debuts for a new yard here but has to be a player if able to take a step forward in this weaker race.
Pulled up on debut in a point-to-point but ran well above expectations on rules debut at Cork earlier in the month; good chance of at least making the frame with an improved effort this time.

Forecasts

Dona Katharina (9/10), Patriciadplasterer (5/1), Tropical Stream (13/2), Tillys Delight (8/1), Mangan Dream (10/1), Somethinboutangela (16/1), Rubiana (16/1), Molly Barrys Cross (20/1), Raveloe (25/1), Dubai Rock (66/1), Sabre Mist (100/1)

Verdict

Questions can be asked of all of these and it's highly unlikely there's a stable star waiting in the wings. However, DONA KATHARINA can make her mark at this level and looks the safest option in a race that won't take much winning. Tillys Delight ran a blinder at fancy odds last time and can push the selection all the way if she can find a bit of improvement, while Tropical Stream also appeals after making a highly pleasing start over hurdles at Tramore last month. Somethinboutangela, who appeals on pedigree, was a very cheap purchase but makes her debut at very modest level could be good value to make the frame.
  1. Dona Katharina
  2. Tillys Delight
  3. Tropical Stream
