Consistent over hurdles and has taken well to chasing. Needs to build on his latest start but not unduly punished for his handicap debut over fences.
Showed improved form over fences latest and might still have more to offer. Up slightly in trip and coped with this distance over the hurdles course here before now. Worth a betting check at least.
Won well at Downpatrick last week and finally delivered on the promise he's shown over fences so far. Raised 9lb but is on the upgrade; drops in trip but still has to make the shortlist.
0-7 over fences but has made the frame once from those starts. Needs everything to go his way but races from the same mark as when fourth over hurdles last time, so cannot be ruled out.
Won a point-to-point but form under rules has been mixed; improvement required on debut for his new yard.
Yet to convince over fences and was well beaten when sent back over hurdles last time out. First time blinkers might help but big improvement is required.
Won over this trip over hurdles at this course and has also gone well over fences elsewhere on occasions. Latest efforts have been below par but feasible he might raise his game now he's back at Tramore. Worth a betting check.
Chase form has been modest at best and needs to run near her best to figure; On a handy mark in comparison to the best of her hurdles form so dangerous to omit form the equation.
Old-timer who has plenty of decent course form to his name; only 2lb above his last winning mark (which was over C&D) and is another who can play a part. Latest effort over timber was poor though. (Won this in 2017.)
Rated better over hurdles so has a feasible chance if he can turn back the clock. has lost his way a touch lately though (was well beaten on seasonal return at Wexford last time).
Yet to win a race under rules and has a good bit to find given the modest level of form over fences. Been off since last February so might also be in need of a confidence boosting spin.
Managed a win in the pointing fields but has drawn a blank from 28 previous starts under rules (eight of which have been over fences). Form not inspiring enough for any sort of recommendation.
0-19 over fences and failed to complete in three of his last four starts. Not hard to overlook this time.
Forecasts
Shes Flat Tothemat (4/1), Canadian Steel (9/2), Star Of Oscar (5/1), Cantkidakidder (6/1), Open To The World (6/1), Whoyakodding (12/1), Better B Quick (12/1), Old Supporter (14/1), The Brig (16/1), Nevada Rose (20/1), B C's Pride (25/1), Daisy Chicks (28/1), Night Sir (40/1)
A chance is taken that CANADIAN STEEL can follow up last week's sterling effort at Downpatrick and defy the 9lb higher mark. The shorter trip will help him on this occasion. Whoyakodding showed a bit of improvement over fences last time and is rated as a threat again here, while Old Supporter won this race in 2017 and can be a thorn in the side of the selection if he can run to his best (age is possibly catching up with him though). Cantkidakidder is another with reasonably good form at this course and is also worth a betting check.
- Canadian Steel
- Star Of Oscar
- Old Supporter
