Likable nine-time winner (twice here including C&D) yet to fire in 2019 although in much stronger races than this. Handicap is within range if first-time visor reinvigorates him.

Struggled over hurdles this winter and remote last of five at Musselburgh back on the level latest further evidence that he isn't in great form.

1lb lower than Kempton win last November having failed to fire the last twice back on Turf which she is as effective on usually. If back on song she is capable but a few doubts at present.

Progressive last season and won first time out over 1m1½f at Wolverhampton suggesting that continues. 2lb rise not enough to temper enthusiasm here and she looks a leading player.

2016 Nottingham winner but off the track 680 days since fourth at Doncaster off 5lb higher. This yard well renowned with new recruits so respected despite mammoth absence and market may help guide.

Typically well placed to win first two handicaps last season before fast finishing slightly unlucky second at Wolverhampton latest. Up 4lb now but suggest he still has plenty in hand and worth chancing despite being first time out.

Forecasts

Grey Spirit (6/4), Livvys Dream (3/1), Villette (5/1), Secret Art (6/1), Grand Inquisitor (10/1), First Voyage (14/1)

Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott's GREY SPIRIT looked a little unlucky not to complete his hat-trick at Wolverhampton when last seen over 1m1½f but up to 1m2f for the first time he should improve further and can continue his upward curve this season. Already a winner this season, Livvys Dream is the obvious danger and she too was progressive at three. First Voyage should not be taken lightly given his yard despite being off almost two years.
  1. Grey Spirit
  2. Livvys Dream
  3. First Voyage
